Maharashtra Common Entrance Test - MHCET

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) is conducted with the purpose to determine the aptitude and intelligence of the students, on the basis of which he/she can get admission in various management course. In Maharashtra, more than 298 recognized institutes accept MHCET scores of the students.

The Maharashtra government is conducting this exam annually for MBA & MMS programs including Master of Business Administration, Master of Management Studies, Post Graduate Diploma Course in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Course in Business Management (PGDBM), etc.

Exam Structure

In order to secure admission in one of the top business schools in Maharashtra state, the aspirants must clear this test. The MHCET written examination contains 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ) that are to be solved in 150 minutes. The good thing is that there is no age limit kept for taking admission in MBA Degree courses. However, the eligibility criteria are that the candidate must have a passing certificate with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate score in any Bachelors degree and appeared for CET or MHCET, group discussion and personal interview.

Registration Process

Usually, MHCET exam take place in the month of May at various examination centers across the state Maharashtra. The application form for this exam needs to submit after duly filled with essential information. The fee is Rs. 700/- for open category students and Rs. 500/- for Backward Class Candidates. The candidates as well have flexibility to fill the application form even online.

MH CET eligibility criteria are different for different courses. But generalized MH CET eligibility criteria are that a candidate should have passed the last qualifying exam with a minimum percentage of 50%.
